Dear Friend, In April, Saint John’s Hospice had the opportunity to participate in the Break the Stigma, Bring the Hope event at McPherson Park in Kensington. Here, we partnered with many other organizations in the city, including The Peggie & Paul Shevlin Family Foundation and S.O.N. (Save Our Neighborhood), to distribute essential supplies to those suffering from homelessness and addiction.
Through this event, we were able to serve many in need, but we know that our work is not done in the Kensington neighborhood. We have decided to make regular trips to McPherson Park to distribute essential items and pray for those who are struggling. For our next trip, we plan to purchase men’s and women's sneakers for distribution. We will also be purchasing an extra supply to benefit our clothing room for our regular guests at St. John's Hospice.
To make this a reality, we look to our Saint John’s family to help provide the gift of hope and comfort to those who need it the most. Will you help us gift a pair of sneakers to our brothers and sisters in need?
To make a gift, please visit saintjohnshospice.org/sneakers.
Any excess of these reserved funds will be used to support the annual operating needs of St. John's Hospice.
Thank you, and God bless you for your support!
