RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
Interested in becoming Catholic? Know someone that wants to join the Church?

RCIA, Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, is for those interested in joining the Catholic church, those people who have never been baptized in any church are considered "catechumens." Those who have been baptized (with a valid Christian Baptism) are called "candidates." Together they meet on Monday Evenings from 7:00 - 9:00
PM in the Parish Meeting Room to learn the fundamentals of living as a Catholic Christian. Catechumens and Candidates are fully initiated during the Easter Vigil Service.

Are you thinking about becoming a Catholic Christian?
This process that adults embark on to become Catholic is a journey of faith sharing, ritual, catechesis, scripture study, prayer and reflection, guided and welcomed by members of our parish community. You are invited to join us in the Pre-Catechumenate phase of RCIA, designed to provide you an opportunity to become more acquainted with our Catholic community, its traditions, beliefs, and the gospel values that guide our lives as Christians. We welcome you and your questions to this journey of faith, and hope you will find us not mere travel agents who are experts in the field, but rather friends who offer ourselves as companions for the journey.

Are you a Baptized Catholic who has not received Confirmation?
All Christians baptize, but only a few denominations see the need of an anointing following baptism called confirmation. Why does the Catholic Church insist that this sacramental anointing is important? Isn’t it enough to have been washed clean, made God’s sons and daughters, and filled with the Holy Spirit in baptism? Come find out what it means to be empowered to serve!

To be eligible to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation you must:
— Be 17 years or older
— Be a baptized Catholic
— Have received First Eucharist
— Be under no Canonical Penalty
