RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
Fr. Wilson, 215-968-2262, ext. 43 or Cynthia Lutschaunig, 215-579-9147

RCIA is for those seeking to learn more about the Catholic faith, for adults who have never been baptized and those in special circumstances seeking Confirmation and/or Eucharist. RCIA needs volunteers who sponsor participants in the program. Meetings are held September-May, Mondays, 7:30-9:30PM, in the Children’s Room of the Main Church.

imageAre you thinking about becoming a Catholic Christian?
This process that adults embark on to become Catholic is a journey of faith sharing, ritual, catechesis, scripture study, prayer and reflection, guided and welcomed by members of our parish community. You are invited to join us in the Pre-Catechumenate phase of RCIA, designed to provide you an opportunity to become more acquainted with our Catholic community, its traditions, beliefs, and the gospel values that guide our lives as Christians. We welcome you and your questions to this journey of faith, and hope you will find us not mere travel agents who are experts in the field, but rather friends who offer ourselves as companions for the journey.

Are you a Baptised Catholic who has not received Confirmation?
All Christians baptize, but only a few denominations see the need of an anointing following baptism called confirmation. Why does the Catholic Church insist that this sacramental anointing is important? Isn’t it enough to have been washed clean, made God’s sons and daughters, and filled with the Holy Spirit in baptism? Come find out what it means to be empowered to serve!

To be eligible to receive the sacrament of confirmation you must:
— Be 17 years or older
— Be a baptized Catholic
— Have received First Eucharist
— Be under no Canonical Penalty
