CareGivers Support Group
Mia Pham, 215-968-2262, ext. 43

A safe and sacred space to share experiences, hardships and even blessings associated with providing regular care to a
family or friend across a continuum of medical
or mental health disease processes.

The Caregiver’s Support Group does not provide psychotherapy, financial support, grief counseling or social work services. The ministry is not partial to, nor supports, any particular caregiving milieus (e.g. home care, hospice, nursing home, or agency). Family and friends of those parishioner participants are welcome to attend as well.

Two to three group facilitators, professionally trained in helping professions, co-lead the group, which runs monthly from October through May. Generally the monthly format focuses on enhanced awareness, education and support for a specified area of self-care for the body, mind and spirit. Occasionally, speakers with specialized training in a particular topic
(e.g., spiritually) join a group as a guest speaker.
