image100th ANNIVERSARY
In 2017, our Church commemorates the 100th Anniversary of the Apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima. Our Blessed Mother appeared to three shepherd children in the town of Fatima, Portugal on the 13th of each month from May thru October in 1917. On all six occasions when she appeared, she asked them to say the Rosary every day. At the time, she also disclosed some secrets to them, which have all been revealed. Years later, she appeared to the eldest child, Sister Lucia, to ask her to spread the Five First Saturday devotions.

The Catholic Church has approved these Apparitions and messages as valid, however it is not a requirement of the Catholic Faith. Also however, every Pope and tens of millions of people throughout the world have much devotion and follow the requests of Our Lady of Fatima. These devotions help increase our faith and brings us closer to Jesus.

As these 100th anniversaries approach on the 13th from this May through October, please make an effort to say the rosary daily and commit to making the Five First Saturday Devotions.

Pope Francis has granted a plenary indulgence this year by fulfilling the requirements listed on either of the websites below on the 13th of these months, or by making a pilgrimage to Fatima, Portugal. There are other requirements for the sick and homebound to receive this indulgence.
