Marissa Moran
Marissa Moran began her freshman year at Villa Joseph Marie High School. She is a Congressional Award Participant currently working toward her bronze medal and utilizes
much of her free time to serve
her community.
Marissa volunteers at the Institute of Global Education and Service-Learning (IGESL) and is
the co-founder of a year-round Youth Action Council (YAC). The IGESL-YAC promotes youth-directed community engagement through a service learning framework. She also has been working with IGESL staff in local service-learning trainings (United Way Staff, State Farm Youth Advisory Board, higher education institutions, etc.) and has been a co-presenter at the National Service Learning Conference. Marissa also serves on the PA Youth Advisory Council, sponsored by the PennSERVE, the Governor's Office
of Citizen Service.
Her other passion in life is Irish dancing and she has been performing with the Fitzpatrick School of Irish Dance
since she was 4 years old.
